Review of the (running) year

Sitting here on new years eve, eating crisps and drinking beer, I have just worked out I have done 22 parkruns this year (PB 26.33) and 6 10ks ( PB 58.04). Plus one 5 mile cross country which was my first race and done after a week being poorly!!  Plus I  have seen Feeder twice, been to the Paralympics, Barbados, ballet, and seen the new band Boxes. Kept my job (got promoted really) and enjoyed the company of my lovely girls as they grow up. Started working full time and become Cycling Ambassador which has meant riding my bike more.  So onwards and upwards. I have my half marathon and One Direction gig to look forward to in 2013.....?!

The Plan

Well ever since our visit to the Running Show in November, the seed of running a half has been planted, watered and is beginning to sprout. I have been thinking about it for sometime, but I do always have to consider things for a while before committing so here I am, about to commit!!  It will be either 13 or 14 weeks TODAY depending on which one Claire and I decide to do.  The new one at Richmond on 31 March or Paddock Wood on 7th April. So I have spent Christmas eating loads, drinking loads and planning my training!! You won't recognise me in a week's time, I will be sober for a start....
